Richard McCormack - Optometrist
Dr. Richard McCormack, is a born and raised Edmontonian and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta and his Doctorate of Optometry with honours from the University of Waterloo. After graduation he moved back to Edmonton and opened his optometric practice in 1986.
Besides caring for his patients he has taught at N.A.I.T. in the Ophthalmic Dispensing Contact Lens course, The University of Alberta Pharmacology Program and he continues to lecture to his community, others in the vision care field as well as other health care professions.
Through his career Dr. McCormack has held positions with both the Alberta Association of Optometrist and was Chairman of the Alberta College of Optometrists from 1996-99.
Dr. McCormack has also served as an expert witness in legal cases in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario.
Dr. McCormack's belief in progressive, "state of the art" vision care services continues to make him one of the leaders in the eye care field. |

Trevor Horn - Optometrist
Dr. Trevor Horn, is a born and raised Edmontonian who attended University of Alberta and then University of Waterloo prior to receiving his Doctorate of Optometry with honours.
After graduation he moved back to Edmonton and started practicing at McCormack Optometric Centre in 2009. He has a passion for taking care of his patients' visual needs and he sees patients of all ages from infancy to elderly. He has promoted Optometry for the Alberta Association of Optometrists by doing presentations in kindergarten classes for many years.
He is married with 3 sons and 1 daughter, which takes up most of his free time. He enjoys watching movies, Oilers'
games, and home renovation projects. He also plays recreational soccer, golf, and watersports. |

Joel Baillargeon - Optometrist
Dr. Baillargeon is a proud Edmontonian, who studied in the francophone school system before attending the University of Alberta in 2011. He studied at the UofA, Faculté Saint-Jean where he graduated in 2015 with Honours in bilingual general Sciences. In the summer of 2015 Dr. Baillargeon moved down to Oregon, USA to undertake his degree in Optometry at Pacific University. He graduated as the Dean’s Award recipient in 2019.
During his time as a student Dr. Baillargeon was the President of the Student Optometric Association at Pacific University and organized a student lead mission trip to Senegal, Africa.
During this trip, the group provided 500 free eye exams and paid for two young boys' cataract surgeries. Dr. Baillargeon is passionate about helping his patients feel healthy and see their best. He enjoys making his patients laugh all while educating them on their eye health.
He has been a part of McCormack Optometric Centre since 2013 as a previous technician and was mentored by Dr. McCormack since day one. Dr. Baillargeon played with the Golden Bears Soccer team during his undergrad studies and now stays active playing recreational sports. He can speak fluently in French, English and can offer exams in Spanish. Dr. Baillargeon looks forward to seeing you at the clinic! |

Pearl Motkoski - Optometrist
Dr. Pearl Motkoski is a dedicated optometrist with strong ties to her hometown of Edmonton, Alberta. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta and completed her Doctor of Optometry at Pacific University College of Optometry in 2020.
Her professional journey has taken her through various clinical settings, including a veterans' hospital, private practice, surgical co-management, and two global volunteer trips to rural areas in Belize and Nicaragua. These experiences have provided her with a well-rounded perspective on eye care. Dr. Motkoski's commitment to her patients is evident in her compassionate approach and attention to detail.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Motkoski enjoys exploring Edmonton's vibrant food scene and staying active.
